We had a ton of fun with Nathan's younger sister, Ruth, her wonderful husband, Brendon and their 2 cuties, Kaylie and Jacob this past weekend up in Fairbanks! We took off on Friday afternoon and packed a picnic supper to have along the way. The first pic is from our picnic. Jayna even went and picked some flowers to put on our picnic mat to make it pretty for us. The children did great on the drive up, Avelyn Faith only cried for about the last 45 minutes of the drive, just long enough to get Nathan out of a speeding ticket. haha , ju
Nathan and his little sister. On Saturday the boys all went to watch Jacob play soccer, then we girls met them at Camp Li-Wa to check out the petting zoo and for Nathan to scope it out for when he does a clinic up there in August. After that the girls all went to watch Kaylie play soccer, then did some shopping (of course!).
The cousins at the Camp Li-Wa petting zoo.
My darling husband (doesn't Avelyn Faith look thrilled?)
Brendon and Ruth
The children making silly faces before their sleepover.
The big people rocking out the Rock Band game after bedtime.
On Sunday we went downtown to the Midnight Sun Festival (I think that's what it was called). We only stayed about an hour, just long enough for the children to get to do one activity and have some yummy cotton candy before we headed back out onto the road. We said a sad goodbye to the Murphys there, but it helped that we will see them all again in a couple of weeks when they come down here for the 4th!

The drive home was not nearly as peaceful from Avelyn Faith as the drive there, but we made it! Thanks for the great weekend Murphys!!! We love you all!
