So here they are...finally

Well...whew....we FINALLY got the camera fixed (actually it was a software issue) so we could transfer the 150 pics that we had on it onto the computer. So after a long wait of everyone wanting pics of poor Quaider man in his cast....here they are! It seems like so long ago now that all of this happened and that he was in the cast, even though he only got it off 3 weeks ago. What a long 6 weeks that was! Fortunately, God has blessed Quaid by giving him a pretty laid back personality and of my 3 children, he was definately the one that would handle this horrible situation the best. It's amazing to me to see the different ways that God provided for us through this situation. Our wonderful Pastor Eller has been quite the God send, coming up to the hospital to sit with us while waiting for Quaid's "surgery", checking up on us often and now, encouraging Quaid to walk every time we're at the church by taking him around the church with him and just having fun. I could never say enough great things about Pastor Eller, he contacted me in Illinois after the fire at my parent's house several times, just to check up on us and prayed with me after the death of my aunt. He is a wonderful man of God!! God also takes care of the little things that you could so easily overlook. Our van that we bought in June ended up to be the perfect vehicle to have with Quaid in his cast. He couldn't sit in a car seat, we had to just lay him across the back seat and buckle him in and this van made that so easy. Even down to the wheelchair that we were able to borrow at no cost for six weeks...Quaid LOVED his wheelchair, his MOPS buddies, Drew and Gavin loved wheeling him around in it too!! :D Now, I know, some would say that's just luck or what have you, but not me....My God knows and takes care of our every need...even when we don't know we have that need! Quaid is still on the mend, not quite walking yet, but he's getting there!

  3. Hey Quaid.
I'm glad that we got to see a picture of your cast, but we are even MORE glad that you have it off. You better practice your running so that we can go out for a jog when we come up. Maybe in January? And, you have to be ready to find some water and throw in rocks! Keep walking!
    Love you big guy.
